Salah

Never let anything come in between you and your Salah

Salah is the major form of a worship which Muslims pray five set times a day on daily basis. Offering Salah five times a day is mandatory on all Muslims. No excuses are accepted when it comes to offer Salah because Allah (swt) does not need human prayers at all.

He is the provider to all and wants His (swt) servants to lean down in front of Him (swt) and ask for His (swt) mercy. Salah protects from all the sort of evils and purify the heart and soul of a Muslim who pray 5 times a day by true heart and intention and if a Muslim who offer Salah in an unmindful way then it is equal to that he has not pray. It is clearly mentioned in Qur’an that:

“So woe to those who pray [But] who are heedless of their prayer -Those who make show [of their deeds] and withhold [simple] assistance.”

(Qur’an 107: 4-7)

Salah Connects to Allah (swt):

Allah (swt) is the lord of all and He (swt) is the giver of everything. Praying Salah is just like developing a connection with Allah (swt) by standing in front of Him. Obviously if a Muslim who offer Salah five times a day develops stronger connection with Allah (swt) than the one who do not pray. Salah effectively helps in achieving and Allah (swt) in Qur’an says:

“And when you have completed the prayer, remember Allah standing, sitting, or [lying] on your sides. But when you become secure, re-establish [regular] prayer. Indeed, prayer has been decreed upon the believers a decree of specified times.”

(4:103)

Prevents From profanity:

We all know that it is human nature that all do mistakes and commit sins but Salah saves from committing sins because the person (Muslim) who pray knows that Allah is the watching him/her and this develops fear of Allah (swt) and stops that person from committing sins. As Allah says in Quran:

“Recite, [O Muhammad], what has been revealed to you of the Book and establish prayer. Indeed, prayer prohibits immorality and wrongdoing, and the remembrance of Allah is greater. And Allah knows that which you do.”

(29:45)

Therefore, Salah stops from committing sins and is a weapon of a true Muslim against all sort of evils. Salah is basically a conversation with Allah (swt).
